An installation work of an outsize dress and finger-knit wooly flower balls.
I project myself in dress work. Suffering
in life often makes me feel an irresistible urge to create art work, using the
color ‘red.’ The urge is intense. By being absorbed in finger knitting I can
regulate my feeling. In finger knitting I sense a heated
affluent flood of volcanic lava of heart gradually beat slowly. A body that has become gigantic to face the
wall of lava to overcome is surrounded by the quivering countless red flower
balls around. Is it that the body is
awaiting the time of change? It has spat everything out, received everything…….now waiting for the next
time.
Materials: hemp/Acrylic medium/wooly balls
